TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

TabTrade — The Short Version

TabTrade launched in March 2026. Trading platform based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a FMA-regulated broker.

The BlackBull connection matters. It says the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not guarantee anything. Still preferable to someone with no brokerage experience.

The broker opened with Equinix data centre access in London. Same facilities banks and hedge funds use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. These guys went the other way. Not the typical playbook.

What you can trade: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, stock CFDs, crypto, ETFs. 1,000+. For a platform this new, the breadth is broad.

Platforms

You get: MT5, cTrader, and a WebTrader. Two major platforms from the same login. Many commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Access to both makes a difference. You are not locked into one.

MetaTrader 5 is the industry standard. Full charting, automated trading, huge user base. If you have traded on a MetaQuotes platform previously, there are no surprises.

cTrader is the more modern one. Better depth of market. Faster charting. cBot support. Plenty of traders like it better than MT5 after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is offered for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView is reportedly coming. That should make the platform set when it arrives.

Accounts and Pricing

Three levels: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Zero commission. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Works for beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. All-in: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On liquid pairs, the actual interbank spread is often under 0.2 pips. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is hard to beat for an offshore broker. Most platforms that have spreads this tight want $500 or more to open. This broker does not.

VIP. $25,000 deposit required. FIX API, execution under 20ms, tailored rates. Not relevant to the average person. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

Execution Speed

The execution is the area where this broker stands apart. Equinix LD4/LD5. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. Those are proper execution targets. The average platform operate at 100ms to 300ms.

Does this affect you? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The gap between fast execution and sluggish execution is profit or loss on tight trades. If you swing trade, it matters less. What matters is the infrastructure is there. That signals they are not cutting corners on the tech.

Put together that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone in this bracket run Equinix connectivity.

The FSRA Question

Now, the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority of Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No ASIC. No fund protection scheme. If that makes you uncomfortable, this broker is not for you. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

However. The person running it came from BlackBull Markets, a proper broker. The server placement costs real money. Dodgy operations do not pay for proper execution infrastructure. This does not guarantee anything. It should be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. For that: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.

Welcome Offer

TabTrade offers bonus funds of up to $2,000. Usual welcome offer. You put money in, TabTrade add bonus funds. Usual conditions attached: trading volume requirements before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
